Friends to lovers, Brothers Best Friend, Hockey, College, Romance.

'Secretly hooking up with the team captain’s sister was a bad idea.
In my defence, the first time I saw her I didn’t know who she was.
Kind, gorgeous, a little naΓ―ve. Ginny brightened my world from day one.
I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend.
I tried to do the right thing. Honest.
I’m the one who insisted we should be just friends.
That lasted about as long as you’d expect.
But Ginny? She’s the best - best friend, best everything.
So yeah, hooking up with the team captain’s sister wasn’t a great idea.
Would I do it again?
In a heartbeat.'

'Secret Puck is the first book in Rebecca Jenshak's Campus Nights Series. While it kicks off the series, it can be read as a stand alone. Set at Valley U college in Arizona, the story is an adult college., sport romance entered on hockey. The romance features a brothers teammates/ friend dynamic with a secret, hidden relationships elements it blends friends- to- lovers  with the tension o crossing lines that aren't supposed to be crossed, all within the close knit world of college athletics

Welcome back to Valley U we kick off 'Campus Nights' with Heath Payne- little brother to fellow Valley U student Nathan Payne. A star player on the hockey team, Heath is charming, good- looking, and living his college life carefree, with the future wide open and no plans to slow down. But everything shifts when Heath finds himself falling for the one person he probably shouldn't; the captain's younger sister.

At Valley U, loyalties are tested, lines are crossed and some risks are worth taking ........ Even when the whole campus is watching.

'Hottest guy on campus: Did you leave without saying goodbye?'
Me: Who is this and how you'd get this number?
Hottest guy on campus: Name is self explanatory'

Heath πŸ’

Heath isn't a complete playboy- but he's never been known for long - term relationships either with his eyes locked on an NHL dream, he keeps his focus sharp and his life simple. Hockey comes first. Everything else is just noise off the lice, heath is all about fun- kicking back with his friends and team mates, enjoying the freedom of college life, without attachments or expectations. Commitments  has never been part of the plan........ That is until he meets her.

Falling for the leading lady is the last thing Heath expects, and more unexpected is how she makes him question everything he thought he knew about relationships. Could this be the moment that changes Heath's views on love

Ginny πŸŽ“

Ginny is stepping into her freshman year at Valley U - Fresh out of a relationship, in a brand new place, and determined to start over. College is her chance to rediscover herself. Luckily her older brother Adam is there to help settle in, showing her all the local spots while keeping a protective big brother eye on her. Adam knows Valley U inside and out....... and he knows the people to avoid.

So Adam introduces Ginny to the hockey team, it seems harmless enough- at first. But as lines begin to blur and feelings grow complicated, will Adam begin to wonder if his decision, will be one he will come to regret. Will Ginny finally step into her own true college experience, or will she always be known as Adam little sister? At Valley U, first impressions don't fade easily- and some introductions change everything.

When Heath gets roped into helping Adam keep an eye on Ginny, the temperature between them rises almost instantly what starts as harmless proximity turns into lingering looks, stolen moments and feelings neither of them planned for. Soon they're sneaking around campus, navigating the trill and uncertainty of connection what's growing faster than they can control. Everyone seems to notice- everyone expect Adam.

Watching Heath and Ginny's relationship unfold in tender, exciting  and full of that unmistakable spark of first love. It's the land of romance that feels real: late - night talks, shared laughter and the quit realization that something meaningful is happening. At Valley U their story isn't just about secrets and tension- it's about discovering love in the middle of college chaos, and finding something genuine where neither of them expected it.

I really enjoyed reading Secret Puck. As we all know by now, I'm a big Rebecca Jenshak fan, and this book delivered exactly what I love about her writing. I enjoy watching the relationships unfold and seeing the friendships grow along the way.

One of my favourite things is how all the characters link together and how you're always left guessing who the next love interest will be. Ginny is sweet and refreshing, while Heath is completely dreamy and charming- it's impossible not to root for them.

This was such an easy, enjoyable read that as soon as I finished, I went straight on to book #2. I'm always look forward to the cheeky epilogue Rebecca gives us. Look out for my next review on the Campus Nights series.
